Throughput Calculator

Calculate actual throughput from link bandwidth considering protocol overhead.

The raw physical link speed (line rate) of the network interface, e.g. 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps.
Ethernet adds 26 bytes overhead per frame (14 header + 4 CRC + 8 preamble). TCP/IP adds 40 bytes (20 IP + 20 TCP). UDP adds 28 bytes (20 IP + 8 UDP).
Maximum Transmission Unit - the largest packet size. Standard Ethernet MTU is 1500 bytes. Jumbo frames can be 9000 bytes.
